Definition

Minor currency pairs (also called cross-currency pairs) are pairs that don't include the US Dollar. They include EUR/GBP, EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY, AUD/JPY, and others. They typically have wider spreads than major pairs.

Example

EUR/GBP shows the exchange rate between the Euro and British Pound without involving the US Dollar. It might have a spread of 2-5 pips.
