Definition

A stop loss is an order that automatically closes a losing position when the price reaches a predetermined level. It's a crucial risk management tool that limits potential losses and protects trading capital.

Example

If you buy EUR/USD at 1.1000, you might set a stop loss at 1.0950 to limit your loss to 50 pips if the trade goes against you.
